On November 14-17, 2019, Siena Retreat Center in Racine, WI, will offer “Enter the Chaos: Engage the Differences to Make a Difference,” a reflective four-day program for those wishing to explore contemporary issues and current events from a deeper place of contemplation. The program will be facilitated by Institute for Communal Contemplation and Dialogue founder Nancy Sylvester, IHM; Margaret Galiardi, OP (Amityville), former North American Co-Promoter of Justice for the world-wide Dominican Order; and Vernice Solimar, PhD, former chair of Consciousness and Transformative Studies at John F. Kennedy University.

On May 24th 50 members of Dominican Women Afire are gathering at Dominican College, Blauvelt, NY for a 3-day conference. The gathering will be filled with moments of prayer and ritual, conversation and exploration, renewal of friendships and making new connections. Sparked by our shared commitment and creativity we hope to step into our future more fully than ever before.

The global Dominican Preaching Network invites Dominicans from the United States and Canada to a three-day colloquium on our Dominican evangelical charism. Anthony Gittens CSSp from CTU will speak on Evangelization in the Mission of Jesus and in Our Mission as Church, and Dr. Ann Garrido from Aquinas Institute of theology will facilitate. Dominican preachers of all ages, promoters of Dominican mission, and provincial/congregational leaders are welcome to this intergenerational conversation. The St. Catherine of Siena Center at Dominican University (River Forest, IL) will be hosting the lecture, “Barking to the Choir: The Power of Radical Kinship,” presented by Fr. Gregory Boyle on April 9, 2019.
Gregory Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries, will share how compassion, kindness, and kinship are the tools to fight despair and decrease marginalization.
