July 18, 2019, Adrian, Michigan – Marci Hamilton, a retired registered nurse and former student of Adrian Dominican Sisters, was welcomed into Associate Life July 15, 2019, during a Ritual of Acceptance in St. Catherine Chapel at the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse. She was mentored by Sister Barbara Quincey, OP.

Ponchatoula, LA– About 30 Associates of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, along with local Sisters, gathered at the Rosaryville Spirit Life Center April 25-28 for an Associate Retreat.
The retreat, themed “Journey to Transforming Truth”, was an opportunity for retreatants to deepen their faith by opening their hearts and minds to the reality of one human family, and to Christ’s commandment to love one another as He loves us.

The global Dominican Preaching Network invites Dominicans from the United States and Canada to a three-day colloquium on our Dominican evangelical charism. Anthony Gittens CSSp from CTU will speak on Evangelization in the Mission of Jesus and in Our Mission as Church, and Dr. Ann Garrido from Aquinas Institute of theology will facilitate. Dominican preachers of all ages, promoters of Dominican mission, and provincial/congregational leaders are welcome to this intergenerational conversation. Dominican Volunteers USA (DVUSA) is hosting it’s Annual Gala on Saturday, April 6th, from 6 – 9 pm at Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. This is the largest annual fundraiser for DVUSA, which welcomes lay men and women to live in intentional, intergenerational communities with Dominican Sisters and Friars while responding to the injustices of our day by ministering with our sisters and brothers, especially those who are poor and marginalized.
