Dominican Sisters of Adrian Welcome Marci Hamilton as New Associate

July 18, 2019, Adrian, Michigan – Marci Hamilton, a retired registered nurse and former student of Adrian Dominican Sisters, was welcomed into Associate Life July 15, 2019, during a Ritual of Acceptance in St. Catherine Chapel at the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse. She was mentored by Sister Barbara Quincey, OP.

“Novices from the Collaborative Dominican Novitiate and the Dominican Central and Southern Provinces met together, May 19-22, in St. Louis to experience Dominican Family relationships. Led by Sisters Ann Willits, Christin Tomy (both Sinsinawa) and Friars Don Goergen, Samuel Hakeem (both Central Province), the novices, a novice-to-be, one of our Dominican Sisters from Zimbabwe, and directors enjoyed stories, input, prayer, and sharing.”
The North American Dominican Justice promoters gathered for their annual planning meeting in Techny, Illinois May 28-29. Twenty-four promoters, including sisters, friars, and laity from the U.S. and Canada, came together to strengthen their solidarity in the work. This year’s meeting focused on integral ecology as a framework in promoting justice, and updating the Call to Justice, the common document of principles and priorities for the Dominican Family in the struggle for justice and peace in North America.
From May 22-27, 2018, 38 students from Dominican Colleges/Universities and colleges with a Dominican presence gathered at Caldwell University, Caldwell, NJ, for the National College “Preaching in Action” Conference.
