September 22, 2017, Chicago – Aquinas Literacy Center celebrated International Literacy Day, September 8, in a very special way – with a grand opening celebration for its new site.

On Sunday, September 10, 2017, Dominican Sisters Marcelline Koch, OP and Elyse Ramirez, OP spoke at a Pro-DACA rally held on the steps of the State Capitol. The speakers at the gathering recalled Springfield’s immigrant history. Read article
On Saturday, September 23rd, Caldwell University dedicated its new art gallery in the name of Sister Gerardine Mueller, OP, a Dominican Sister of Caldwell since 1939. Sister Gerardine ministered in the Art Department of Caldwell University for 34 years before becoming a professor emerita in 1999.
