Dominican University, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest, Illinois 60305
September 27, 2016 – 7 p.m.

What does it mean to accompany the poor today? How must theology be attentive to people’s needs and the signs of the times? Our creation of a more just and humane world relies on an affirmation of the dignity of all people. Join the father of liberation theology, Gustavo Gutiérrez, OP, as he shares his own experience of finding God in and with the world’s most marginalized peoples. He will offer a crucial reminder that God’s mercy should be at the center of our accompaniment of others. The author of A Theology of Liberation, Fr. Gutiérrez is often referred to as the founder of liberation theology.
