The Maryknoll Mission Institute is holding two programs, “Living God’s Dream,” in Monrovia, CA and Los Altos, CA. The programs will be from September 25-30, 2016 and October 3-6, 2016, and “will explore how we might re-discover God in the minutes and days of our everyday living.”

Aquinas Literacy Center (ALC) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary during the 2016-2017 academic year. ALC was founded in 1996 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters in response to the needs of immigrants in the McKinley Park neighborhood and surrounding areas to learn English. ALC continues to offer free, individualized tutoring in the English language to adult immigrants.

On Sunday, August 21, 2016, the parish communities of Holy Rosary and St. Stephen in Monroe City, MO gathered for the dedication and opening of a brand new Catholic elementary school. The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill have ministered at Holy Rosary School for 115 years, and the school’s new facility will offer a state-of-the-art learning environment to over 170 students.
