The Dominican Family welcomes 16 young adults who came together in August at Mariandale Retreat Center in Ossining, NY for their orientation to Dominican Volunteers USA (DVUSA). Together, with the staff and Dominican Sisters, they spent intentional time with one another and participated in several sessions relating to Dominican life; equipping themselves with the tools needed to be successful on their journey. There was even a visit from St. Catherine of Siena brought to life by Nancy Murray, OP.

Sometimes it’s a project identified by a person of authority and assigned to a person or a team to carry out. And sometimes, it’s a response to a question. That is the story of the Welcome Blanket project recently completed at the Dominican Sisters of Peace.

The 25th Annual Friends of St. Dominic Golf Tournament took place on August 28, 2017, at the Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, New Jersey. This sold-out event, sponsored by Mercedes Benz of Nanuet, was a resounding success on a day made to order.
