On Sunday, August 21, 2016, the parish communities of Holy Rosary and St. Stephen in Monroe City, MO gathered for the dedication and opening of a brand new Catholic elementary school. The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill have ministered at Holy Rosary School for 115 years, and the school’s new facility will offer a state-of-the-art learning environment to over 170 students. SINSINAWA, Wis.—The Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters invite you to join in the ongoing celebration of the 800th jubilee year of the Order of Preachers by attending a special concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Sinsinawa Mound. The Matisse Trio will perform works from the places where St. Dominic began and established the Order: Spain, France, and Italy. The Trio members are Katie Wolfe, violin; Anthony Arnone, cello; and Elizabeth DeMio, piano. Wolfe and Arnone are on the music faculty of the University of Iowa, Iowa City. DeMio is on the faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music.

On August 7, 2016, Sister Kelly Moline, O.P. professed her first vows during the Eucharistic liturgy at Sacred Heart Convent. Soon Sister Kelly will join her new community at St. Martin DePorres Convent on the south side of Chicago and will begin to study for a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies at Catholic Theological Union.
