‘Irish Priest O’Murchu to Give Retreat, Lecture at Sinsinawa’
SINSINAWA, Wis.— Author, priest, and social psychologist Diarmuid O’Murchu of Dublin, Ireland, will give a retreat and talk at Sinsinawa Mound in June. He is known throughout the world for his work with those on the margins, his writings, and his retreats on adult faith development. O’Murchu is a member of the Sacred Heart Missionary Order.
The retreat, Inclusivity: A Gospel Mandate, will be based on O’Murchu’s newest book of the same name. He will speak to the challenges for the Catholic Church and society on embracing differences and resolving the barriers that exclude so many people. The retreat runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day, Tuesday, June 28 through Thursday, June 30. The fee is $234 for an overnight guest and $157 for a commuter. The registration deadline is June 21.
A lecture will be given at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, and is open to the public. O’Murchu will speak on evolutionary spirituality for the 21st century. A freewill offering will be accepted, and no registration is required.
