Music professor recognized for 35 years of service

Sister Gail Himrod, OP, associate professor of music history, was recently recognized for more than 35 years of service and leadership in the music program at Providence College, founded in 1917 by the Dominican Friars of the U.S. Eastern Province. Through her years as a member of the music faculty, she has helped the program to fulfill its mission: “to assist students to study, to hear, and to perform music with intelligence and understanding within the spirit of an art that transcends analysis.” Read more
