August 4, 2016, Adrian, Michigan – Members of the public are cordially invited to the dedication of the Adrian Dominican Sisters’ Dominican Life Center (DLC) Reflective Garden.
The ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, in the Reflective Garden, accessible through the main doors of the DLC. Following the dedication, guests are encouraged to enjoy refreshments and tour the garden.

Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic, Inc. and Blauvelt Dominican Sisters gathered at Maryknoll, July 15-17, 2016. The primary purpose of the weekend was to provide opportunities for sisters in temporary profession to get to know one another. But the weekend also provided an important forum where significant sharing and collaboration between the two Dominican Congregations happened.

SINSINAWA, Wis.—Drazen Dupor of Madison, Wis., will lead an Icon Retreat at Sinsinawa Mound August 14-19. Come learn about the history of iconography, the origin of icon writing, the first and most famous icon writers and the difference between wooden board and wall icons. Dupor learned the ancient art form in Thessalonica, Greece, at the K. N. Georgiadis School of Art under the supervision of Zlatko Bomestar. He will demonstrate the usage of ancient techniques in present times as you write your own icon.

From June 24-29, 2016, students from 23 high schools gathered for the 18th Annual Dominican High Schools Preaching Conference in Adrian, Michigan. The conference used the 800th Jubilee Celebration of the Order for the theme. Read more
The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose request the gift of your prayer for God’s blessings upon us as we enter into our International Convocation, the 25th General Chapter to be held July 22 – 30, 2016, at the Motherhouse in Mission San Jose, California.
160 Sisters will gather together from Mexico and the United States to set future direction for our life and mission and to elect our leadership for the next five years.
