Shem Center for Interfaith Spirituality is dedicating its annual gala concert of classical music to observing both the Jubilee Year of Mercy and our 800th Dominican Jubilee Year. It is fitting to observe these two jubilees together for they are linked as gifts for a world that needs what both have to offer; mercy because it brings forgiveness, and Dominican preaching because it proclaims the Good News of God’s unconditional love. Mercy offers healing and forgiveness, and Dominican preaching calls all to a just, loving and compassionate presence in the world.
