Fr. Paul J. Philibert, O.P. died April 14, 2016 at the age of 79. He was the third Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Martin de Porres (1988-1993). Funeral services are Monday, April 25, at St. Dominic Priory in St. Louis, MO and Tuesday, May 3, at Dominican Friars Cemetery at Rosaryville in Ponchatoula, LA. Read more

From April 2-9, 2016, the Sinsinawa Dominicans held their General Chapter where they set their direction for 2016-2021 and elected new leadership.
April 14, 2016, Adrian, Michigan – The Adrian Dominican Sisters continued the joy of the Easter Season in April with the Profession of Vows of three Sisters.
Sisters Salvacion (Salve) B. Valenzeula, OP, and Alma D. Zapanta, OP, professed their final (perpetual) vows on April 3 during a special liturgy at the chapel of Our Lady of Good Counsel Seminary, on the same grounds as their Chapter house in San Fernando, Pampanga, the Philippines. The Most Reverend Paciano B. Aniceto, DD, Archbishop-Emeritus of San Fernando, presided.
St. Mary’s Dominican High School’s Choir brought home honors at district competition hosted by the Louisiana Music Educators’ Association (LMEA). The junior high school honor chorus performed under the direction of Dr. Susan Brumfield and the senior high chorus performed under Mr. Sean Ivory’s direction. These clinicians are known internationally as outstanding composers, arrangers, authors, artistic directors and vocal educators. DHS Fine Arts Department Chair Ms. Brenda Castillo is director of the DHS choir.
