The
Issue: Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is the third largest criminal industry
in the world. The trafficking of persons for sexual
exploitation or forced labor is a grievous violation of the dignity
of the human person and is a form of modern day slavery. Trafficking
is one of the most difficult crimes to prosecute and most insidious
problem to solve.
We pledge to:
Utilize and encourage the work of the Dominican Coordinating
Committee to
end Human Trafficking;
Develop and encourage local educational workshops
on trafficking;
Continue to work to create and pass state legislation
on trafficking;
Connect with national and international organizations.
Things you can do:
Monitor your own state's legislation
around human trafficking, make sure that laws are current. Use the

Polaris Project to learn more.
Respond to action alerts offered by justice promoters
when they are called. |
