‘Amityville Dominicans Celebrating 800th Jubilee on Founders’ Day with Art Show’

In celebration of The “Order of Preachers” 800th Anniversary, the Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville, NY invite you to  Founders’ Day on Saturday, September 10, 2016 where there will be a special art show including works from the Sisters and Associates ranging from painting, sculpture and photography to poetry. Our new Dominican Library will be officially open as well and there will be an organ recital in the Rosary Hall Chapel. A special liturgy will follow this in St. Albert’s Chapel.

Founders’ Day 2016
Here is the schedule of events:

  • 1 to 3 pm: The 800th Jubilee Art Show will open. Join us in the Cloister Garden to enjoy the wonderful display of art in its many forms. Light refreshments will be provided.
    • The Dominican Library officially opens this day.
    • The Heritage Room will be open as well.
  • 2:30 pm: Organ Recital in Rosary Hall Chapel
  • 3:30 pm: Liturgy takes place in St. Albert’s Chapel.
