Maryknoll Sisters Sister Joanna helps free unjustly imprisoned man

Sister Joanna Chan, MM, a frequent visitor to Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining, New York, believed inmate Eric Glisson when he told her that he was innocent. Sister Joanna, known as “Grandma” to the prisoners, has volunteered for 12 years at the prison. Chan put Glisson in touch with a lawyer, and Glisson was released in October 2012.
