LOUIS, MO - April 14, 2009--- Surrounded by supportive sisters,
friars, associates and friends, the newly founded Dominican Sisters
of Peace gathered at the Marriott Hotel here to formally ritualize
their existence as a new foundation of the Dominican Order. The Gathering
was followed by the first General Chapter and election for the
new congregation.

of the new congregation's first Prioress and Council. On Saturday,
April 18, 2009, the delegates at our inaugural General Chapter elected:

NY April 18, 2009 -- The Dominican Sisters of Hope are pleased to

Justice promoters in Latin America are urging US Dominicans to help send
a message to President Obama during the upcoming Summit of the Americas,
to be held April 17-19 in Trinidad and Tobago. A communique from Noemi

School of Philosophy and Theology presents
the Archbishop Joseph Alemany Award to honor men and women who have made
outstanding contributions to the Church in the Western Dominican Province.
At this year’s Alemany Award Dinner, DSPT will be honoring three
Dominican priests who served as educators, chaplains, spiritual directors,
