DLC Announces New NGO Representative to the United Nations in New York

PARK, IL, July 21, 2008 -- The Executive Committee of the Domincan Leadership
Conference announced this week that Margaret Mayce,
OP (Amityville) will become the new NGO (non-governmental organization)
representative at the United Nations. Margaret replaces
Eileen Gannon, OP (Sparkill) who has served in this position for ten years
and will move on to other ministry opportunities. READ

Witness Against War Walk

July 17-18, Racine Dominican Sisters joined other Racine peacemakers
in supporting the 450-mile “Witness Against War” walk from
Chicago, IL, to St. Paul, MN. The walk began on July 12 and will conclude
on August 31 in time for the start of the Republican Convention in
