Celebrations
During the weekend we will be celebrating 10 years of the Dominican
presence at the United Nations in New York, thanking our outgoing
NGO Representative, Eileen Gannon, OP, and welcoming the new NGO
Representative, Margaret Mayce, OP. We will honor the Parable
Conference for its service to the Dominican Family and the 20th
Anniversary of the Collaborative Novitiate in St. Louis. We
will acknowledge the congregations that will be leaving the DLC
as reconfiguration occurs among us: Cabra, Akron, Columbus,
Eucharistic Missionaries, Great Bend, Kentucky, Oxford, and St.
Mary’s New Orleans.
Saturday is our free evening. Some of you will have meetings,
others may wish to have a quiet night on the campus, and others
may choose to explore the area. Special arrangements have
been made for Saturday night by the Dominican Sisters of Adrian
for whoever would like to go to the Stable restaurant.
The restaurant will provide a special room and a wonderful quartet
for the event. Each participant will pay for their own meal
and drinks, etc. If you are without a car, transportation
can be arranged. Please sign up on the registration form.
