Sister Kathleen Anne Tait named director

Dominican Association of Secondary Schools

Sister Kathleen Anne Tait, OP (Springfield), will become the new director of the Dominican Association of Secondary Schools (DASS) beginning in October 2014. Sister Kathleen will succeed Sister Pat Brady, OP, who is retiring after serving as DASS director since its incorporation in 2002.

Sister Kathleen will be leaving her present position as principal of Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois, in July 2014. She has served in this role since 2003. Prior to tenure at Marian Catholic, Sister Kathleen served as the high school consultant for the Archdiocese of Chicago (1994–2003), and principal at Sacred Heart Griffin high schools from (1987–1994).

During the last four years, Sister Kathleen has also served as a member of the DASS Executive Board.

Outgoing director Sister Pat Brady commented, “Sister Kathleen is deeply committed to a tradition of education that is authentically Catholic and uniquely Dominican, and will provide invaluable experience and insights as the DASS organization continues to promote the charism and legacy of the Dominican Order in all our schools.”

The Dominican Association of Secondary Schools (DASS) is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 that seeks to promote the Dominican charism of Veritas (Truth) with its four pillars of prayer, study, community and preaching, within and beyond the Dominican school community. It currently serves 24 Dominican high schools throughout the U.S., providing networking and formation opportunities.
