Sister in the News Oakford Dominican speaks on UN AIDS panel

Sister Alison Munro, OP, director of the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference AIDS Office in South Africa, spoke on universal access to treatment for AIDS patients during the recent United Nations General Assembly High Level Meeting on AIDS June 8–10. A story on the panel discussion was featured on the U.S. Catholic web site (“Panelists say faith-based groups lead the way in addressing AIDS crisis’). A copy of Sister Alice’s presentation, “Is Universal Access a Myth or Reality at Local Level?” is available on the Dominican Sisters of Oakford web site.
