NEW Life Center, college students working together

Sisters and college students in Flint, Michigan, are working together to build a nonprofit ministry to help unemployed women. Sister Carol Weber, OP, is director of St. Luke’s NEW Life Center in Flint. “Our mission was to help at-risk women become self-sustainable by helping them find jobs, but then the bottom fell out of the economy,” she said in a recent article in the Flint Journal. “In order to be true to our mission, we felt we needed to start a small business to give them jobs.” READ MORE
