St. Martin Province Celebrates Ordinations, Professions and Vestitions

In separate ceremonies, St. Martin Province recently celebrated a number of their men along their vocation journey. Two men were ordained, four men professed simply vows and four other men were vested with the Dominican habit.

For Ordination On August 29, 2009, at St. Ann Catholic Church in San Antonio, TX, Bishop Patrick Zurek (Bishop of Amarillo) ordained two of our friars to the priesthood.  L to R:  fr. Gerald Mendoza, Bishop Zurek and fr. Ramon Jacínto González, fr. Martin Gleeson, prior

For Profession On August 15, 2009 at St. Albert the Great Priory, our four novices professed Simple Vows. Friar Marty Gleeson, Prior Provincial, received the vows on behalf of fr. Carlos Azpiroz Costa, Master of the Order.
